i just finished one sock, now on to the next! i think i may almost meet my knitting deadlines for Christmas - i only have 3 projects, and though my mailing things may not arrive until after dec. 25, i think i can get them done before hand. yay!

Knitting Time-Out

I've had to take a little break from knitting this week, so I can get through finals. I've knit a few half-hearted rows on my socks (I'm to the toe of the second sock), but I am not going to attempt any kitchener stitch until I'm done with finals. So Friday looks to be a big knitting / Christmas blitz! Can't wait. Too bad I have to get through that lame final first. :(

getting closer to done! i just started the heel on the second sock, so i'm almost done. i paused yesterday to work on an ill-fated project which i have to frog until i get more wool. too bad all the yarn shops are closed today. :(

jerm's homemade socks

jeremiah's homemade socks, originally uploaded by Mrs. Jeffrye.

these were my first foray into sock knitting, completed 2 years ago. jerm still likes them and wears them around in winter with his shorts and t-shirt. i guess so long as his feet are warm the rest of him is warm!

i like the pink striping a lot, and believe it or not, jerm loves it too. he thinks they're awesome.

next project

I went yarn shopping with Trina this weekend and got some beautiful self-striping yarn. I've just started, and they are so pretty and fun to knit. I'll post when I get to a heel turn! The most exciting part of socks.

new scarf

new scarf, originally uploaded by Mrs. Jeffrye.

i told you, i'd post a picture when i had a good hair day. well, it finally happened (i went to court this morning, so had to put extra time in). it looks really good with my green jacket! now i really need to make something more complex, since this isn't displaying my knitting skillz.

finished object!

I finished the scarf I was working on yesterday, I'll post a picture of it when I have a good hair day. Because I'm vain like that, and I think the scarf will look better properly modeled.

Yet another project I'm finishing up that I started over a year ago. The problem is that I completely stalled out on knitting when I started law school. Anywho, this is knit from the beautiful yarn that Mara gave me, plus some black cashmerino (super soft) for the stripes. I have a new green coat that will look lovely with it. Can't wait for it to be done and wearable -- it's so very soft. When done, I'll post a pic of it with the jacket, all bundled up.

Crazy Cozy Socks

I made this in a fit of sock knitting fury. Then I put it down, and didn't make the other one. I made up the pattern, and have no idea how I made it. I think I'll have to improvise the second sock and not worry about it. I mean, it's not like I'm going to wear the socks out and about, really, and they're kinda crazy. If I make them, I'm thinking of adding some non-skid stuff to the sole, since they are all wool and cannot be washed. So I'm intending that they'll be slipper-socks. I just need to cast on the second sock! Super silly.

WTF?

Really, why not start a knitting blog? I've gotten into this Ravelry thing enough to think I'd like to link it all to my blog, but I don't want to link to my personal blog (because if you know me, you probably know the problem I had with stalkers), but this will not be about anything but knitting, so I think it might work out.

I'm going to start posting about my knitting, so I guess I ought to get on with knitting. TTYL.
